Lisa Pittman, President and Chairman of the Board
Lisa Pittman is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in English, and a graduate of the University of Houston Law Center. She is an attorney practicing civil litigation at Martin, Disiere, Jefferson & Wisdom. Her duties as President are to lead the Executive Moms Society, coordinate planning of events, cultivate membership, acquire sponsorship, and to focus the goals of Executive Moms Society. Lisa is also on the board of trustees and a planning committee for the Association of Women Attorneys Houston, and belongs to other law related professional groups and associations, holding a leadership position with the American Bar Association’s Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Law section as vice-chair of the Business Litigation Committee. Lisa also serves on the legal advisory board to ESCAPE Family Resource Center, which provides free parenting programs for lower income Houston families. Lisa has two elementary school age children, and loves building forts, playing with ninja turtles, racing cars, filming living room musical theater productions, camping, reading, and creating art with her children. She also is a huge music fan and has smuggled her children backstage with Willie Nelson, Wilco, and the Gourds. Still listening to vinyl, she has yet to master the iphone like her children and has no clue how to operate the Wii, or any post-atari gaming device. But she is determined to revolutionize how things are currently done in business and bring women to the front of the stage professionally, as stars on their terms!

Heidi Steinhagen, Executive Director and Board Member, Director of Promotions
Heidi Steinhagen attended Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee for English for Corporate Communications and Fine Arts. Heidi is the owner and operator of Dream of Me Photography. She is also the Marketing Director for Olson Insurance Group. After moving to Omaha, Nebraska in 2008, Heidi found an interest in Community Development with the Omaha Chamber of Commerce and established a well rounded workforce development program in association with local workforce services to help the unemployed recieve the education and training needed to find and keep gainful employment. Finding that she wanted to continue with nonprofit organizations in a different field, Heidi began as the special projects coordinator for the Nebraska Children Home Society Foundation, where she preserved the history of the foundation through archiving photos within the organization as well as through local museums, the historical society, and the Nebraska Memories project through the Nebraska Library Commission. Heidi and her children relocated to Cypress, Tx in 2012. She decided to continue with her love of photography by starting her own photography business in the Greater Houston Area.
Liz Clearman, Assistant Executive Director
Liz Clearman is a 2001 graduate of Texas A&M University, and went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center in 2004. After graduation from UHLC, she practiced law in the Contracts Division of the City of Houston’s Legal Department, and then went on to accept a position back at UHLC in the Career Development Office as a Career Counselor. In 2008, right before her daughter was born, she chose to leave her position at the Law Center in favor of being a stay-at-home-mom. During that time, Liz followed one of her passions and founded a professional organizing business, lc organizing, also serving on the Board of Directors of the Houston chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers as the Marketing Director. She recently decided to re-enter the workforce, and took a job as the Marketing Director for Chick-fil-A at I-10 & Silber, where she got her feet wet as a working mom. Liz is now the Assistant Director of Admissions at the University of Houston Law Center, where her main responsibilities are recruiting prospective students, reading files and assisting in making admissions decisions, and communications/marketing. She plans on staying at the Law Center indefinitely. In the near future, Liz is looking forward to getting involved on the Board of Directors of the Trotter YMCA.
Josephine Firat, Treasurer and Board Member
Josephine Firat is a graduate of University of St. Thomas with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Management and Psychology, a Master’s Degree of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Marketing, and a Master’s Degree in International Business. After graduating with her MBA, she taught at Houston Community College, including classes in Introduction to Business, Marketing, Advertising, Human Resources, Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Small Business Management. Josephine Firat is the Chief Executive and co-founder of Executive Brand, LLC, which branded and marketed umbrellas in Europe, and Executive Vice President, and co-founder of Firat Educational Solutions, LLC. She also started an exporting company called Firat Group.
Susan Powell, Director of Membership and Board Member
Susan Powell is a graduate of Union University with a bachelor of science in accounting. She is a partner with Matson Driscoll & Damico, LLP, a CPA firm that specializes in forensic accounting. She works as a consultant or expert witness in the evaluation and quantification of losses involved in business disputes, lost profits, fraud and business valuation. She spends at least 5 hours a week on activities related to growing Executive Moms Society and performing her role as a Board Director and serving in her office of Director of Membership.
Linh Perez , Director of Events and Board Member
Linh Perez works with women to instill confidence in them about money by translating the complex money-language into lament terms. The fact of the matter is that although women make the most day-to-day money decisions, they are not comfortable when dealing with long-term money plans & goals. The time to know about your financial future is not during the moment of crisis, it is a conversation that you need to have NOW! Linh dedicates herself to ensure that every woman she meets becomes confident and fluent with BOTH their current and future MONEY matters.
Linh served as a national trainer, coach, mentor, and financial strategist for individuals and entrepreneurs! Her expertise in financial business analysis and personal financial services has contributed in high level of achievement and success for her clients.
Cheryl Ormston, Director of Sponsorship and Board Member
Cheryl Ormston is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a degree in Journalism/Public Relations. She is Vice President of National Accounts and a shareholder with DepoTexas/Sunbelt, the largest court reporting firm in Texas. Cheryl has always had a passion for involvement in her community. She is a sustaining member of the Junior League of Houston, and she previously dedicated many years to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as a member of the Carnival Ticket Committee. Her family is very much a priority! She is married and has two elementary age girls. She enjoys cheering on her kids at various sporting events, spending time cooking/baking with her children, and vacationing with her family.
Jolyn Brand, Director of Marketing
As a mom of four, from 10 to 19 years old, a business owner and a volunteer, Jolyn Brand is a busy lady! She is a graduate of University of Houston with a Bachelor’s in Business Management and a Master’s in Educational Management. After teaching at the middle and high school levels for several years, she took a risk and launched Brand College Consulting. In addition to her small business, Jolyn writes for Examiner.com as the Houston College Admissions Examiner and is also featured as a college admissions expert on Unigo. She received an award from Houston Woman Magazine and was chosen as a semi-finalist for the Woman Business Owner of the Year by the NAWBO Houston.
Jolyn volunteers in local charitable organizations, such as the YWCA Houston and Assistance League. She is on the local high school PTO Board and coordinates several events each year for the teachers. She is also a member of HECA (Higher Education Consultants Association) and TACAC (Texas Association of College Admissions Consulting).
Her oldest is a Nuclear Engineering student at Texas A&M, and the younger ones are busy with football, gymnastics, art camp and, of course, preparing for college. When she’s not reading college essays and applications or chauffeuring kids around town, she likes to play volleyball and tennis, travel with her husband David, and enjoy some rare, quiet time by the pool with a book.
